Catherine stunned in a Stella McCartney gown paired with Cushla Whiting rings, while Jonathan kept it timeless in a classic tux. The day featured entertainment by Armando of Sound Events Chicago, dreamy photography by Louie Abellera, and lush floral design by Violeta Bednarek of Viola’s Kitchen + Florals.
Every detail — from the ceremony setup to the intimate reception decor — showcased the beauty of modern design and thoughtful styling, proving that small wedding decor in Chicago can make a big impression.
I whipped up this spreadsheet of spots in the west loop of Chicago known for family style catering and they’re super flexible! We checked out about five places in one Saturday, and boom! The Loft Lucia stood out for us! They were so chill, tossing around awesome ideas, and the setup of the place just clicked for us.
Months before we got engaged, I stumbled upon the a Stella McCartney gown online and was immediately smitten. It struck the perfect balance of style and tradition, and I just knew it was the one I’d wear to marry Johnathan!
Loft Lucia had a wonderful vendor list and we were able to secure our Flowers and Catering through Viola’s Kitchen & Florals. After locking in Loft Lucia and Viola’s, we discovered Arilynn Events of a coworkers recommendations and couldn’t have been happy. He was beyond detailed and had every base covered. He really went out of his way to make sure our guests were well taken care of.
We slipped away to a rooftop right after the ceremony to snap some golden hour photos with louie. A flawless sunset, crisp air, and a moment to just talk and enjoy each other’s company after the whirlwind of energy that comes with the ceremony’s end!
We couldn’t have been happier with our vendors. Viola’s Kitchen was incredible, and had the most fantastic charcuterie spread I’ve ever seen! Brandon was a gem, effortlessly guiding us through the day and delivering everything we asked for. I highly recommend choosing vendors who are familiar with each other and enjoy collaborating—it made everything run seamlessly, like a well-oiled machine.
